Final HackJumpSlash is here! All graphics completely replaced with new vector art. More parallaxing. New ranged enemy who shoots fireballs that can be reflected back or blocked. You can choose your own weapon, there’s a practice mode, interactive menu screen, health potions drop from some enemies, a second indoor tower level. Also, my eyes are bleeding from working on this so much. So, yeah, finished for now.

Oh, and as a bonus here’s some vector art I made at higher resolution. As you can see a lot of this never quite made it in game, but I still enjoyed doing it.

Here is my final game, Racer. I was unable to fix the squirrel’s movement. I tried everything I could think of, but I kept making it worse.

And here is the link to my postmortem:

It’s been a while since I wrote one. Wasn’t sure what I was supposed to include.

  6. Caldwell Bill says:

I couldn’t squeeze in everything I wanted, but it works great!

    Idol of Yin

  7. Rafe Rahman says:

Somehow I ended up breaking the end of the game, that is, when the player runs out of health and the game displays your final score. Primary gameplay works fine though.

  8. Devin Butler says:

This is a link to the zip file that holds both the prototype and the post mortem essay for my final version of Prototype 3, Geocentric:

A Cheat Mode for the talent points is still hidden within the game if people can find it.

  9. Here is a link to the folder, with the Game, Postmortem and Gamemaker file.

  10. Dan Lance says:

Last night I discovered that by adding two levels and duplicating the enemy object, the collision glitch that was one of = the main features of the game (slowing down enemies) was completely broken. so hopefully I managed to fit it

  11. Anthony Schuler says:

My game titled Gravity. I didn’t get the death animation to work correctly but everything else works well.
